Tour of Korčula, Parish of St. Marko towers over the old walls that date back to the 13th century. The core of the city is full of beautiful narrow streets and old buildings that attract many visitors. The island is rich in traditions that it continues to nurture through festivals and other events.

Korčula Day Tour will take you to the beautiful Adriatic island Korčula. Main land connection to Korčula Island is going over Pelješac Peninsula. On our way to Korčula we will drive trough Pelješac Peninsula and first stop will be in Ston. Ston is medieval salt city with second longest city walls in the world famous also for its oyster and mussel beds. In Ston we will make a short city tour. Pelješac Peninsula is best wine growing region in Croatia famous for it red wines. On our return from Korčula we usually visit some good winery for wine tasting.

Korčula is walled medieval town with lot of attractive Gothic and Renaissance palaces, churches and forts. This city is also famous as Marco Polo was born here (1254 – 1324), the wayward traveler to China, and Mongolia. Inhabited two thousand five hundred years ago by the Greeks, Korčula get name Korkyra Melaina or (Black Corfu) for its dense Mediterranean vegetation. Perfectly preserved Korčula will give you unforgettable fell of medieval Mediterranean.

  • 9:15 Arrival in Ston, visiting the city center (Rector’s Palace, Bishop’s Palace, Fountain „The EYE“, stop behind ancient salt factory)
  • 10:05 Continuing through Peljesac to Orebic ferry point
  • 11:30 20 minutes boat ride from Orebic to Korcula island
  • 11:50 walking tour of Korcula town center, St. Mark’s Cathedral photo stop, Marco Polo’s birth house photo stop
  • 12:50 free time for snack or lunch in Korcula
  • 14:00 return boat ride to Peljesac
  • 15:00 wine tasting of Plavac mali wine
  • 15:45 panoramic ride through Dingac seaside vineyards, passing through Dingac tunnel
